When Rory's mother Trish first contacted me about filming her son's wedding to Simone, all it took was one look at Hengrave Hall's website to realise that I just couldn't say no. Each year I set a limit to the number of weddings I take on to ensure that nothing is ever rushed in the edit suite to keep up with demand. Despite having gone a couple of weddings over my limit already when I spoke to Rory & Simone, they agreed that a slight wait for their finished film would be no problem... and I'm so glad I didn't rush it. The full wedding film captures the essence of the day brilliantly and also conveys the fiery nature of the couples relationship and personalities, making their wedding film truly unique to them. Their highlights clip has a really dramatic storyline throughout, kept interesting by Rory's recollection of their fateful engagement. It's the closest to editing an episode of Eastenders that I'll ever get!
Working with our good friends David and Sandra from David Islip Photography made the day fly by and it was a really fun wedding to film, made all the better by the excellent venue management and staff at Hengrave Hall who were waiting in the car park to greet us when we arrived in the morning!
